Therapy can be horrible so we made a game about it.

Playing is easy. You’ll make 3 panel comics about it with your friends. You’ll laugh. You’ll gasp. You’ll be mildly offended (in a fun way). But ultimately, you’ll feel great when your intrusive thoughts help you win this adult card game!

Perfect for pregaming, parties, or any situation where you need to get rowdy with a group.

What's In the Box?

Horrible Therapist comes with:

  • 70 Question Cards
  • 125 Answer Cards
  • 175 Treatment Cards

Plus, one instruction manual that you will probably skim.

How to play: a bunny placing a card into a slot to hire a therapist

HIRE A THERAPIST

Pick someone to be the first Therapist. They’ll flip a card from the Question Deck and pick an Answer for the second panel of the comic.

GIVE INTO YOUR INTRUSIVE THOUGHTS

Look at your Treatment Cards. Pick which one would be the best (or most unhinged) third panel of the comic. Play that card face down.

READ

Once all the Treatments are in, the Therapist reads all of them and picks the one that best completes the comic.

Players cheering over cards spread on the table

WIN

If your Treatment gets picked you win 1 point! The first player to 3 points wins (but this probably means you should schedule some extra therapy sessions, just in case!)

Wasn't sure my group would commit to the 3-panel comic format, but by round two everyone was fighting over who got to fill in the punchline. The gasp-then-laugh reaction is real, and someone at the table got mildly offended exactly like the box promised.

Brought this to a small dinner party and we ended up playing for two hours straight. Building the three-panel comics forces everyone to get weird in the best way, and the gasp-then-laugh reactions kept rolling. Mildly offensive in exactly the right way.

Abigail ★★★★★

The three-panel comic format is genius — it's simple enough to teach in seconds but somehow every round goes off the rails with our friend group's takes. We ended up gasping and laughing so hard we had to pause, and the mild offense it sparks is honestly half the fun. Finished a full session without
