The betrayal mechanic had our whole table screaming at each other within ten minutes, which is exactly what I wanted from a bluffing game. The betting cards are sturdy enough to survive being slammed down in frustration, and we played four rounds straight without anyone checking their phone.
Played this last weekend and my group was screaming at each other by round three. The bluffing mechanics are so well-tuned that even the quietest friend turned into a con artist selling a fake footprint.
My friends accused me of cheating three times during our first round, which honestly means the bidding and bluffing system works. Only wish the rulebook was clearer on what happens when two players tie on a bet, we had to house-rule it. Still, it's become our go-to for game night.
